The Throne Room Challenge: Importance of Good Quality Toilet Paper

According to Consumer Reports, an average American uses approximately 21,000 sheets of toilet paper every year. Many cost-conscious people use it as a multi-purpose product for reasons ranging from its use as a facial tissue to a source of cooking fuel. #Good quality toilet paper . However, as per its main purpose suggested by its name, it belongs in the ‘throne room’. You may not really value toilet papers ever until the time when you do your business in a public toilet and find a rough, single-ply toilet paper to clean yourself – or worse, no paper at all! At that moment only may a person realize the importance of good quality toilet paper. With a wide variety of toilet papers being sold in the market today, it’s extremely crucial for you to put some thought into buying one for your throne room. Just because there is ‘ultra soft’ or ‘highly absorbent’ written on a roll doesn’t mean it is those things. The high prices are also often deceiving of quality. Choosing a good quality toilet paper is not only important for your butt’s health but it also has an impact on the environment you survive in. There’s a reason why people who keep our toilet paper in their throne room and carry it around in public places are the smartest – or perhaps a bunch of reasons. Let’s dive in to find out why the quality of toilet paper matters so much. 1. Good quality toilet paper is Chlorine-free You may be surprised to know that many toilet paper manufacturers use chlorine in the process of making their paper white. Good quality toilet paper is always chlorine-free. Please note that toilet papers bleached with chlorine can also not be considered as good quality because they aren’t environment-friendly. Chlorine is a dangerous chemical that can cause both air and water pollution. For the sake of the environment that you live in, to make your world green, it is crucial that you use chlorine-free toilet papers. 2. Good quality toilet paper is Environment-friendly The manufacturing and production process of great toilet papers doesn’t involve the cutting down of trees or destruction of green forests. These toilet papers are truly green, meaning that they are made using recycled materials. Even if they are made using trees, it is made sure that the trees are cut from a responsibly managed forest using fibers that would otherwise be of no use. 3. Offer More Plies High-quality toilet paper usually offers more plies or layers to make sure you don’t have to spend long minutes wasting an entire paper roll sitting on your throne. The more the layers, the more quickly and efficiently the task is done! 4. Softness It is extremely important for your butt’s health that your toilet paper is soft and plushy. A paper that feels like cardboard on your butt is never worth your time and use. It will only leave you and your family feeling chafed and sore. A good quality toilet paper is made to feel as soft as a feather against your skin so that you don’t get any uncomfortable scratches. 5. Good quality toilet paper have no Irritating Fibers One characteristic of poor quality toilet paper is that they are made with irritating fibers that come off onto your skin, leading to ticklish, scratchy sensations. Using our tissue paper will never leave your butt linty, scratchy, and reddened with a possible rash. 6. Ease of Tearing The ease of paper tearing from the roll is directly related to the quality of toilet paper. A roll of high end toilet papers will always be easier to tear and use. Always go for a high-quality paper roll unless you don’t mind sitting confused and frustrated on the toilet seat every time you go to the toilet. With maximum ease of tearing, you also get to save a lot of time – and we all know how crucial every minute is when you’re in a hurry to reach at work on time. 7. No Clogs Do you often find yourself struggling with a clogged plumbing system in your toilet? You may be using poor quality toilet paper! Quality Tissue Papers breaks down quickly and efficiently, guaranteeing to never clog your system. This will not only save you a lot of hassle of dealing with a clogged system but will also help you bring down your plumbing costs. 8. They Last a While Good quality toilet papers tend to come in big rolls enough to last on your roller for a while. Moreover, their multi-ply and softness means you won’t need to use so much of it. It will provide far better results as compared to low quality, icky toilet rolls while making sure that the touch of the paper feels good against your skin. By lasting a while longer than other toilet papers rolls, they will also help you save money on your monthly household expenses! Considering the aforementioned points, it is not only essential that you have toilet papers in your throne room but it is also a good idea to always carry a few sheets with you whenever you head out of your house.

Are You Doing Enough for Your Child? Yes, You Are!

Parenting is not easy –, especially for mothers. That is why we are ruling out mom guilt. You can get overwhelmed and exhausted with the consistent hassle and it’s completely okay to snap or yell a little. It doesn’t mean you’re a bad mother or your child deserves better than you. Motherhood is challenging at every step and tends to question your patience, strength, and stamina every single minute. If you are not able to live up to the expectations you have created in your mind, it’s not a big deal. What you have done and are doing is more than enough. The “mom guilt” is rather common, and if you think you are the only mother to feel insufficient – think again. It’s important to understand that you cannot win everywhere all the time when you enter into motherhood. You are only going to exhaust yourself out if you don’t stop trying to perfect your parenting. Mothers often feel guilty (#Ruling Out Mom Guilt) about giving themselves time or doing something for their own self, thinking that their complete attention should be focused on their child. If they failed to do so, it will affect their child’s grooming. You’re doing a great job and giving yourself some attention doesn’t make you a bad mother. Let’s address this “mom guilt” and make you see how your present parenting efforts are more than sufficient for your child and you’ve no reason to feel overwhelmed. What is Mom Guilt? You’re maternity leave is up and now you have to get back on the 9-5 grind. The guilt that surfaces about leaving your newborn behind at home, while you’re at work is referred to as the mom guilt. This includes worrying about how you’d be able to function at work and give your baby the time and attention they need. Prioritizing one over another or unable to balance both the things leads towards getting overwhelmed and anxious. Mom guilt can strike at any point of time in motherhood. It could be right after the maternity leave, on a weekend when you reprimand your child for messing the room up, after having a verbal spat with your teenage child, or leaving your child behind for an hour to visit your friends. Any similar incident can spark guilt in you that you haven’t done enough for them and you may start questioning your parenting. This builds pressure on you and compels you to put more effort into becoming a better mother. How Do You Know Mom Guilt’s Building Up? The feeling of guilt is actually an analysis of your behavior. When you start focusing on what you did and feel shame in doing so, it means you’re beginning to feel guilty about it. I didn’t make the food of his liking. I am a bad mother. I left my baby in the daycare. How awful for a mother to do so! Susan’s baby is smarter than my daughter. She must have given her more attention than I did! This happens with a majority of mothers who judge themselves and compare them to other women. They start to believe that every negative thought about them is right. So, if you find yourself criticizing yourself and negative thoughts making frequent visits to your mind, it means you’re suffering from mom guilt.   What to Do Next? Ruling Out Mom Guilt. Living with mom guilt is unhealthy for you. It only adds up to your depression and stress and coerces you to overdo yourself. This can have negative effects on your physical and mental health. We have some effective solutions to address this guilt and help you live a healthy and happy life with your kids. 1. You Are Doing Your Best in Ruling Out Mom Guilt? When you become a mother, you naturally develop the strong instincts of caring and protecting your child. You want to guard them against every harm that might come their way and give them the best you can. But, there’s no such thing as perfection when it comes to parenting. So, tell yourself that what you’re doing is enough and the best in your capacity. Don’t overdo yourself because there always will be lacking. Let go of the guilt and continue doing what you can do best. 2. Acknowledge Yourself Self-acceptance is the key. You’ve to acknowledge yourself and your efforts to step out of the guilt. Be empathic towards yourself and know where your thoughts are going. Stop negativity from prevailing and respond to yourself with kindness. 3. Let Go of Perfectionism More than perfectionism, you need resilience to make it through motherhood. Mom guilt can be persistent in its invasions. You have to develop your defense and stick to it. Fighting off depressive feelings and thoughts is difficult. But once you stop trying to run after perfectionism, you’ll see things simplifying themselves. 4. Take Care of Yourself? Taking care of children is important, but so is taking care of you. Mothers often ignore their own needs and wish to give more time to their kids. This makes a major contribution to mom guilt when they start thinking that spending time on their own is making them a bad parent. Make time for yourself and take care of your needs. Socialize with your friends, sleep well and eat healthily. You’ll be surprised with the wonders these simple things can do and make a positive impact on your parenting. When you’re relaxed and healthy, you ultimately develop more patience and calmness to deal with your children. Do what makes you happy and you will see how the entire atmosphere of your home changes. You are the center of your family. If you are content, everybody else is too. So, don’t let the guilt pull your family back. Embrace happiness and be satisfied with what you are doing. Because it is good enough! “A happy mother is a good mother, and if work makes you hum, your whole family sings along.” -Sharon Meers

Traveling with a Baby: 5 Simple Tips to Make the Journey Less Difficult

As adorable as they are, travelling with a baby is anything but a walk in the park. It can tempt you to give up your plans and stay put until you have someone to take care of the baby for you, or they grow up. Traveling with an infant can be stressful and may compel you to put off your trips and vacations plans. This does not have to be the case. You can keep your baby calm and content during your trip by doing a few simple things.#Make the Journey Less Difficult If you’re prepared well for the trip to keep your baby safe and comfortable, you won’t have to worry about your child giving you a tough time. Infants fuss more while traveling because of the long hours of the uncomfortable ride. We have come up with five basic tips that will help you plan better and effectively when traveling with a baby. 1. Pack Smartly for Your Trip to Make the Journey Less Difficult. If you’re planning to have a long trip, you will need a considerable amount of suitcase to accommodate the supplies for infant care. But the last thing you would want to do while your baby is screaming at the top of their lungs is to hunt down the exact thing from a huge suitcase. You don’t want to unpack the entire bag in the middle of the road only to search a pack of wipes, do you? Well, the smart thing to do is that you pack a smaller bag that has all the basic supplies in smaller quantity. You can keep the bag closer and can reach out to it without going through any hassle. Make sure that you have the following things packed in the smaller bag: A couple of diapers with a changing pad A packet of baby wipes Bottle(s) of formula milk (keep it in a small cooler bag) Infant Tylenol Baby blanket An extra dress set The need for these supplies may surface at any point of time during the trip. It’s better to have them handy. Also, you can keep you your baby’s favorite toys to distract them. Having a car phone charger, snack and sleep aids in the same bag can also come handy for you while traveling. 2. Prepare for the Climate to Make the Journey Less Difficult. How you dress your baby has a lot to do with their reactions. So, you’ve to prepare ahead of time for the climate and also keep a frequent check that your baby is comfortable in the clothes they’re wearing. This often happens that you dress your infant according to the present weather and once you start traveling, the baby starts to get restless. This is because of the change in weather. So, always keep this in mind and dress the baby accordingly. If the day gets hotter, make sure you change them into lighter and airy clothes. It is better that you pack for both extremes when traveling for an extended period. This will prepare you for any unexpected change in the weather and keep your baby comfortable. Make sure you have these three things considered when preparing: Pack for both kinds of weather as a precaution. Get weather insights to know how the weather is going to be during your visit. Have extra clothes packed. 3. Have Enough Baby Food If you’re planning for a longer vacation or stay in another place, it is important that you carry enough baby food formula to last the time. This is because of the following reasons: The formula and baby food may vary from place to place. If you’re traveling with an infant internationally, there can be a significant difference in the taste even if you’re using the same formula brand. Your baby may not respond well to the changed taste. Changing the formula during the trip may cause a disturbance in your baby’s tummy, causing them to remain restless or develop a health problem. So, the best thing to do is carry some baby food with you to keep the baby’s hunger pangs at bay throughout the journey. 4. Pack Light If you are going for a short stay, we recommend you to pack light. Carrying excess luggage only creates more problems when you are traveling with a young one. Especially if you are traveling by bus or train, you wouldn’t have much space to accommodate the luggage anyway, not to mention the trouble you’ll face in stowing and carrying the bags. At times, it becomes a necessity to carry more things while traveling. If this is the case, get the service of a porter to handle the luggage for you. Your focus should be on safe boarding with the baby. 5. Take Care of Yourself Too Now, this is the most important thing you need to pay attention to. How you react has a lot to do with your baby’s comfort. If your child is having a breakdown, you have to keep your cool instead of getting agitated yourself. You being upset will only make the baby act fussier! Take a couple of deep breaths and cool yourself down. Then try to address the problem your child is facing so as to make the journey less difficult. It is important that you keep your energy up to face such situations. Eat healthily and be well rested. Having a young one may not allow you to get an eight-hour sleep at night, so get in the habit of taking mid-day naps. Carry high-protein bars and easy-to-eat snacks with you as energy supplies. When you are well-rested and energized, you’d be able to take better care of your child and keep them calm and quiet while traveling. So, if you are traveling with a baby, you have to take care of yourself first before you’ll be able to look after your child. If you keep these pointers in mind when planning your trip, traveling with an infant won’t

8 Hygiene Tips to Keep a Healthy and Happy Family

There’s no denying that a healthy family is a happy family. People tend to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on family care products to strengthen their family’s ability to combat harmful germs and promote their health. This is all in quest to healthy and happy family. While these products are indeed made to help you take care of your family in the most efficient way possible, there are certain basic rules for taking care of yourself and your children. Here are eight simple hygiene tips for your family that all happy, healthy families share in common as their ‘habits’. “You know, all that really matters is that the people you love are happy and healthy. Everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae.” – Paul Walker 1. Make Regular Hand Washing a Habit to keep a Healthy and Happy Family We know this may sound too basic an advice because you must’ve been taught to do it in your school days. But hand washing is hands down the best way to keep those germs at bay! It is extremely important to teach your kids to wash their hands, especially on the following occasions: Before and after each meal Before heading to the playroom After coming in from the playground After using the toilet After sneezing and coughing After petting an animal You and other adult family members should also make it a habit to wash your hands regularly. This won’t only ensure that you stay healthy but will also help the kids learn the habit quickly. After all, kids do what they see their elders doing, right? 2. Dispose of Dirty Tissues Right Away to keep a Healthy and Happy Family. Tissues can come in handy when you’re suffering from flu and coughing and sneezing after every few minutes. You must teach your kids to use tissues for nose-blowing so that they don’t have to sneeze or cough into the inside of their hands. However, what’s even more important is to dispose of the tissues right away and teach your kids the same. Some germs, bacteria, and viruses can live for two hours or even more outside the human body. So, dirty tissues lying around the house is a big NO! To encourage the habit of using and wasting tissues, you should consider placing trashcans in each room. 3. Some Things Are Not for Sharing While you may always be looking for ways to teach your children the etiquettes of sharing their toys and taking turns while playing with friends, you must understand that there are certain exceptions to this rule. When it comes to ensuring the health of your children, you must teach them to NOT share a few things, including combs, toothbrushes, hats, cups, spoons and forks, drinking straws, whistles, tissues, and basically anything that they’re likely to put in their mouths. And the same goes for you as well! Make sure everyone in your family has their own hairbrush and toothbrush. 4. Bathrooms are High-alert Red Zones! You may only go in and out the bathroom for a few minutes each time but it tends to be one of the most favorite places of germs to lurk behind after the toilet flushes. Make sure you clean the bathroom sinks, countertops, toilet seat, bathtub, and the bathroom walls on a regular basis with a high-action disinfectant or wipes. In addition to this, the bath toys also need regular cleaning. You may wash them in a water-bleach solution at least once a week. Apart from this, make sure that all toothbrushes are placed at least one inch away from each other so that their bristles don’t touch. This will decrease the chances of germs spreading from one brush to another. Also, replacing the toothbrushes regularly is critical, especially after recovery from an illness. 5. Focus on Kitchen Cleanliness As an adult, you may not worry about foodborne illnesses, as they usually are not dangerous. However, these illnesses can be more than just unpleasant for your kids. The reason why you should pay special attention to food safety and kitchen cleanliness is that your children’s immune system is not as developed as yours is. Make it a habit to wash your hands thoroughly before cooking any meal, particularly when you’re handling raw meat, fish, or eggs.
